CCS Football Notes: Entering Week 9

Tying up a few loose ends from last week.

As Week 9 kicks off, here’s a few scraps of information that might’ve been lost in the past week’s commotion.

Five Unbeatens Remain

Carmel, Gunn, San Lorenzo Valley, Saratoga and Willow Glen enter Week 9 without losses. Del Mar was unceremoniously dealt a 31-0 shutout loss on homecoming night against Silver Creek, who got three touchdown passes from Giovanni Mejia and a 71-yard Lorenzo Garcia run. But the biggest upset of the week, by far, was Sequoia’s 21-20 come-from-behind victory over Half Moon Bay.
