It’s another Twitter poll to choose tonight’s game, with three games available for fans to choose. All three feature public schools.
Palo Alto (11-2, 2-0 SCVAL De Anza) hosts Milpitas (13-2, 3-0) in a game between the only two teams without a loss just a week-and-a-half into league play. The De Anza winner will have an extremely strong argument to make the CCS Open Division, and both teams feature Division I talents. The Vikings are led by Jorell Clark, who scored 32 in Saturday’s win over Gunn, and Jacob Wrencher, son of head coach Champ Wrencher, stars for the Trojans.
Campolindo (12-4, 3-0 DAL) hosts Ygnacio Valley (9-7, 0-2) in Moraga. The Warriors will be desperate for a win after losing at the buzzer to Acalanes and to Las Lomas by 7. The Cougars pulled away from Alhambra in the second half on Monday behind Ren Marchetti’s 26 points.
Acalanes (12-4, 3-0 DAL) hosts Northgate (12-4, 3-0) with a share of the DAL lead on the line. The Broncos opened league play with a double overtime victory over Benicia, but will likely play tonight’s game without a pair of injured senior stars, Grayson Boustead and David Harris.
Voting closes at 3 p.m. this afternoon, so act now!
As for the remainder of the week, Lick-Wilmerding and University play their annual co-ed doubleheader at Chase Center on Thursday afternoon, and Bishop O’Dowd (9-5, 2-0 WACC) hosts Alameda (11-5, 2-0) on Thursday night. St. Ignatius (10-3, 3-0 WCAL) hosts Mitty (10-3, 3-0) on Friday night, and Palo Alto hosts an MLK weekend tripleheader on Saturday. All three games have playoff implications, a rare treat for a showcase event. Monday, of course, is for De La Salle’s 27th MLK Classic.
