It’s time once again for Bay Preps Insider readers to pick their coverage! This is the lone Friday without WCAL action, so it’s time to spread the attention around. Vote at the linked Google Form by 2 p.m. Friday and choose between seven options.
Friday’s options are:
Alisal (14-5, 5-4 PCAL Gabilan) on the road at Monterey (15-4, 7-2). The Dores trail first place Carmel by just one game, and there’s bad blood after tempers flared at the end of Monterey’s two-point win on Jan. 13.
Amador Valley (17-6, 2-4 EBAL) at Monte Vista (14-9, 2-4). Expect a heated atmosphere as brothers Kasen and Cade Krueger return to their former school.
Carlmont (11-8, 7-1 PAL Bay) at Menlo-Atherton (15-5, 8-0). The Bears, who won the first meeting on Will Abdella’s layup at the buzzer, would all but lock up an outright league title with a win.
Dougherty Valley (17-6, 5-1 EBAL) at California (20-3, 5-1). Two of the four teams tied for the EBAL lead meet in a battle for San Ramon supremacy.
Los Altos (6-13, 1-6 SCVAL De Anza) at Mountain View (9-10, 3-4). The Spartans look to complete a season sweep of the rival Eagles.
Menlo (13-6, 3-2 WBAL) at King’s Academy (16-3, 5-0). It’s Knights versus Knights, and it’s a must-win if Menlo wants to have a shot at the league title.
Sacred Heart Prep (10-6, 4-1 WBAL) at Priory (15-4, 4-1). The Gators and Panthers both trail King’s Academy by a game.
Saturday’s WCAL game will be decided via Twitter poll.
